Train Transfers To and From Nuremberg Airport

Germany has some of the most efficient transportation systems in the world. Upon arrival at Nuremberg Airport (NUE), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, buses, and trains.

The U2 subway line directly connects Nuremberg Airport with the central train station thus providing access to Nuremberg's city center in approximately 12 minutes. These driverless subway trains at Nuremberg run every 10 minutes.

The metro at NUE is underground, right near the exit of the airport building. Passengers can go down the stairs or use the escalator or the elevator to get to the platform.

Subway trains operate until 1:00 AM. Operation will resume 3 hours later at 4:00 AM. If you miss all the available trains, you can always get a taxi in Nuremberg.

U2 (Nuremberg U-Bahn) Nuremberg Airport Subway Line

The U2 is an underground line in Nuremberg, opened on 28 January 1984, and the last station along the line to open was Flughafen (Nuremberg Airport) in 1999.

The line is about 13 kilometers and has 16 stations. The termini are Röthenbach (last line) and Flughafen.

Including rides and makes a stop at the Central railway station (Nürnberg Central Station / Hauptbahnhof Nürnberg), near the Opera house of Nuremberg (Nürnberg Opernhaus) and the station Plarrer (Plärrer), about southern and South-Western extremities of the center of Nuremberg.

Purchase your ticket at vending machines of red color, located near the descent to the subway or at the airport.

The cost of a full adult ticket to Nuremberg city center in the machine is € 3.20. Children (6-15 years), € 1.60. Single ticket and is valid for 90 minutes.

Adult ticket for a short distance (up to 2 stops) is € 1.70 euros, and for children, € 0.80.

In slots, you can pay by cash or card. When paying by card along with the ticket will fall out a piece of paper-a receipt confirming payment.

To reach Nuremberg's Exhibition Center, please change subway lines at the central train station (U2 - Nuremberg Main Station).

The U1 subway line heading towards Langwasser Station will bring you to the trade fair in about 25 minutes.
